In Their Own Words...

When our clients succeed, we win too!

We are just starting to collect their stories of success and perspective on what it's like to work with us. Here are a few of those insights...in their own words.

Most company names have been omitted for privacy purposes.

Hi Faye,

It has been going great; although I’m sure you’ve heard the news for Cassandra. It was a pleasure working with Cass, and I wish her the best on her new opportunity! Greg R. will be the contact here going forward as I have accepted a position with another company as well; my last day is Friday.

I would like you to know Faye, it was a pleasure working with you and Preference. Keep up the great work!! Thanks again!

Kindest Regards,
Tim M.

NOTE: The following thank you was forwarded to us by a co-worker in another department who also relies on our services. A warrior at heart, Candice devoted 13 months to the following high caliber placement....

Del,

Just a quick thank you for having Candice kick me over the edge. I  was deep in a comfort zone that would have taken me to retirement. But I would not have been having this much fun.

We have a bunch of great people here at *** and I'm looking forward to some great years ahead.

Jim C

Hello Todd,

That sounds like a great weekend plan!! We appreciate your support of our company.

Victoria

Hi Kara!

The Office Administrator/Accountant position has been filled as of this morning. The person selected ultimately has the greatest amount of experience in the areas that we feel are the most important.

We would like to express our thanks and gratitude to you and Karis for investing your service and expertise to expedite the filling of this position. The candidates you recommended are very capable and qualified. They will each be receiving correspondence in the very near future. I truly appreciate your professionalism.

Best regards,
Trent

Hi Faye,

Aandrea is wonderful - just like Laurie was. Where do you find these great people? Heather is still working, counting down the days....!

Carol B.

Jon,

Things are good here. Tina is doing very well and we continue to train her in additional processing. Thanks so much for this candidate.

Carol

Thanks for the info Karis. You are right...a quiet office is a very productive office.

The meeting with Loren went very well. Your team has provided a very solid pipeline for us.

Ben S.

Hi Jon and Kendra,

Below is the schedule so far - please check it over. I just want to make sure I have it all down and we are in synch. Thanks - you are doing a great job of filling the slots during a difficult time of the year.

Carol

Dear Candice,

We recently had a job opening for a programmer for our business' computer. We have struggled the past couple of years trying to hire someone to fill this position. Our most recent candidate was a current employee in our IT department who showed some interest in computer programming. We sent him to school, only to have him resign about the time his school was completed.

Back to looking for a candidate four our computer programming position. We were hitting dead ends on every avenue. Loren called one day and asked what we thought about approaching Minnesota State and Technical College where they teach students to program on the type of computer we use, to try to recruit a student currently enrolled in the program to work part-time until graduation, then full time. I liked his idea and told Loren to proceed. He did, came back with two candidates, and we hired one of them.

Loren went that extra mile to find us a potential candidate. Who would have thought to try to hire a student currently enrolled in the program to work part-time until graduation? The candidate whom we hired is what we were looking for. While he has no real experience, he has the background and the knowledge necessary to quickly learn what he needs in order to program on our computer.

You have a great person in Loren!

Sincerely,
Gary P.
Vice President

Candice and Larry,

On behalf of all of us at Global Electric Motorcars, I would like to wish you belated congratulations in celebrating your 20th Anniversary.

We appreciate all that you have done in providing talented resources to assist us in growing our business and wish you continued success for the next 20 years!

Kind Personal Regards,
Richard Kasper
President and Chief Operating Officer

Dear Larry, Candice and Staff,

Every once in awhile you attend a gathering and afterwards wish that you had been able to include all of the people in your life that are important to you, and your 20th Anniversary celebration  was just such a gathering. I assure you that this old seasoned veteran of business could not have been more impressed.

All of you should be extremely proud of your professionalism as it truly provides assurance, confidence, and pride in being a customer of yours. Congratulations on your 20th Anniversary, but more importantly, the substance and manor in which you celebrated.

Sincerely,
Dale L.

Candice,

Great newsletter! Just got it and read it cover to cover. Western ND couple done good! Accolades to you and Larry for a great business you have going. It's always a pleasure working with your firm.

When articles like this started to pop up about Jim, everyone was sure he was retiring. You look far too young for retirement, although sometimes success allows for flexibility. 38 years of marriage is impressive these days... You married when you were 5 years old?!?!

Congrats!
Lance

Hello Larry and Candice,

Just a short note to say "way to go"! 20 years is a great accomplishment!

Good Luck,
Dale R.

Hi David,

Thanks very much for including us in your celebration yesterday. We all very much enjoyed the program. We have every intention to be part of your next 20 years of business growth and success!!

Sincerely,
Chad W.

Thank you so much for including me in your celebration. I thoroughly enjoyed the program! It was amazing to sit in that room and look at all the people you have touched.

Congratulations on 20 great years of serving our community.

Candice and Larry,

WOW! That is all I can say. What an event!

You guys did it first class. To start with, you and you team were strategically positioned to warmly welcome your guests. Your son David
did an outstanding job with his opening remarks. He demonstrated confidence, respect and humility. The method you choose to introduce
your team says a lot about your organization and its culture. And all of the speakers did a great job!

Congratulations on your 20 year anniversary and thanks again for the invitation. It was an event I will not forget.

Pete F.
Senior VP/Private Client Advisor

Candice,

I just wanted to send you a short note congratulating you on your 20 years in business. The program was very enjoyable and it was nice to see so many people there joining in the celebration of your accomplishments. I have had the pleasure of meeting most of the staff at Preference Personnel over the past few years but I must say seeing them all in one room at the same time you do have a class act.

Once again congratulations and thanks for letting me be a part of your celebration.

Mark W.
Operations Mgr.

Candice,

A quick note to thank you again for inviting Steve and I to your anniversary celebration. It was very nice; very well done. I was thinking during the event about how long I have been here (20 years in June of 2008) and how long you have been in the professional placement business. I must have been one of the first 100 (or so) candidates you had. Goodness, we have come a long way. Anyway, please forward my thanks and congratulations to your fine staff.

Kindest regards,
Kevin B.

Happy Anniversary and CONGRATULATIONS on a job well done!!

Jodi S.

I want to thank you for providing the four workers for us the last few days. They were excellent! We finished more than I had hoped for. I'll probably be calling again in about a month.

Thanks, Jim

Dear Candice, Karis, & Staff,

Preference Team,

The growth of our small company has been phenomenal! Our secretarial staff has increased from two to the current eight employees, with me as their interviewer.

Even in this fast-moving technical business world of today, time is money. Prior to using your service, I was meeting with graduates from business colleges and other agencies, interviewing approximately 20 applicants for each position, which was very costly.

The last two office administrators hired have been referred to us through you, interviewing only five applicants for each position.

WHATEVER OUR NEED, YOU ARE THERE INDEED!!!!

The applicants you sent us were mature, well-educated, and very qualified individuals. Your efficient staff provided applicants that fit our every request, whether  it was for a part-time or full-time position. You continually checked to see that, once hired, they were fulfilling our needs. Your caring follow-through was greatly appreciated.

You saved us time and money, took away the frustrating worries and hassles, while providing us with fast, efficient service. My only regret is you weren't in the picture for all seven previously hired positions!

Thank you for your past service to our company, future employee opportunities and Happy New Year to you and your staff.

Sincerely,
Dotty
Office Manager

Todd and Darlene,

Just a quick note to say thank you for all of your help. When we get large jobs and need help, I know I can count on you guys to help us out and be there for us. This job went along without a hitch and you played a large role.

Thank you for helping out and getting us the quality staffing that we needed in a hurry. Please accept these gift certificates as a small token of our appreciation for all you do for us. I look forward to working with you again in the near future.

Julie
Production Manager

That is fabulous news!! I will meet her at the reception desk on Monday morning!! Thanks Faye, it's always a joy working with Preference!! Have a terrific weekend!

Candice,

Many thanks to you and your management staff for your warm welcome and thoughtful gesture! I look forward to meeting and working with you. Please feel free to call on me if I may assist you in any way.

Lola

Dear Candice,

Jeff and I really appreciate your professional service and the use of your office to interview. We have used agencies in Minneapolis, Omaha, and Kansas City and you and your staff put them to shame.

I'm very pleased with our selection of Angie and look forward to working with her.

Sincerely,
Ronald
President

Hi Karis,

Here is the feedback that I received from both supervisors:

Sean
Sean has done a great job so far on the South Central team. He is very eager to learn and has caught on very quickly. Sean jumped right away into his role and seemed energized about doing well for his team. Currently Sean is over 150% of his revenue goals and is still going strong since his team is not at goal yet. He is still learning the ropes so to speak on lead notes and the processes we use to put leads in and sometimes has to call back a prospect for information he has missed. However, all in all Sean's performance has been great so far, and I am confident he will be one of the highest producers on the South Central and Central team as a whole.

Steve
Steve has been a great addition to our Southeast Area team. In his short time here, he has managed to generate roughly $30K in pipeline revenue for our client. Additionally, he has received praise from our client for his diligent efforts and talent. I think Steve is a hard worker and will do very well as an inside sales rep.

OUTSTANDING! Thanks for such a great job on these - pat yourself on the back!!

Recruiter/Human Resources

To Whom It May Concern:

I would like to thank you for sending us a great temporary employee when you sent us Fay! We found her to be very capable and efficient on the job. It was a pleasure getting to know Fay these past seven weeks while my full-time employee was on maternity leave.

Thank you again for a job well done!

Sincerely,
Karen
Business Manager

Dear Candy,

I'm enclosing payment of your fee for Peggy. Everything seems to be going quite well and the transition is going smoothly. Peggy is trying her best to straighten me out. Let's just hope she has the stamina.

Thanks again for all your help.

Sincerely,
Darrell
President

Preference Team,

I would like to let you know how pleased I am with the services you offer and the quality of the individuals you have provided to us. I am particularly pleased with the temp-to-hire placement program. It has been very efficient and effective to use your services to fill our staffing needs. You have the resources to contact and screen candidates and also to test for particular skills. The temp-to-hire program allows our company to work with a potential new hire for 90 days without any commitment to future employment or benefits. The temp-to-hire program is very cost-effective.

In January, one of your temporaries joined our staff on a full-time basis after successfully working with us for 90 days. We also have another temporary from your office on staff. We intend to offer this individual full-time placement upon completion of 90 days.

I am delighted with how well the temp-to-hire program has worked out for our company in meeting our needs. I will certainly look to Preference to fill my staffing needs in the future.

Sincerely,
Tammy
Corporate Controller and Treasurer

Dear Staff,

This correspondence is in reference to Kristi, the temporary employee you recently provided for us.

Kristi worked for us for two weeks. I realize this is a limited amount of time to extensively evaluate an employee but in that time we found her to be an excellent replacement. She was very punctual, cooperative, conscientious and efficient. Hopefully, she will be available when we are again in need of a secretarial replacement.

I would not hesitate to recommend Kristi to any future employer.

Sincerely,
M.E.

Dear Preference Staff,

It's not often that we compliment an organization on their ability to find talented individuals to work on our team of professional inside and outside sales staff.

Preference Personnel has done an exceptional job of finding us the right people at the right time with, more importantly, the right skills to do the job!

Sincerely,
Brad
Vice President, Floor Covering Manager

Attention Candy:

I'm writing to let you know that I am leaving the employ of **** to be with my husband in Bismarck. It is with great regret that I am doing so as I will miss working with you, but I'm looking forward to being a "whole" family again.

I want you to know how much I appreciate the thoughtfulness and fairness of business practices you have extended to me. Please follow through with my replacement, Karen. She has been with us for more than five years and is greatly deserving of this position.

Again, thanks for your help and your friendship.

Very Sincerely,
Jo
Office Manager

ps. (handwritten) How can I express my appreciation for all you have done for me? You are without a doubt, "in the right business." I will miss you! Thank you!

Dear Kara,

Thank you so much for volunteering to be a judge for our Annual ND **** Leadership Conference held last April. Your donated time and experience was appreciated by all.

Gratefully yours,

I would like to commend your staff at Preference for the great service you have provided us. I have really appreciated working with David and his staff for the last few years. He has always been professional and, most of all, he has been honest with us when it comes to filling a temporary full-time or part-time position.

Keep up the good work, and we all look forward to doing business together in the future.
