My Story After working in the staffing industry for almost 8 years, I wanted to start a company that was based on a “team concept” where the staffing consultants worked with each other instead of competing internally. In 1987, Larry and I took our ideas from the kitchen table to the former Butler building to open the doors of Preference Personnel. I started the business specializing in professional/executive placement. Three years later, Larry, who was a CFO for a large corporation, joined the business and we expanded by creating our temporary office and industrial divisions. Since then we have gone from three to fifteen internal staff members, built our own building, and grown into a full service staffing company. Our certified consultants work with business owners, hiring managers, and HR professionals to learn their business and develop solutions to staffing challenges with hiring options in temporary, contract and career placement, along with a safety consultant and on-site payroll department. Being a local staffing company we are able to customize our staffing solutions to meet the needs of our diverse client base. After 22 years, Larry and I appreciate the opportunity our company has had to serve so many of you. It is exciting to see our clients grow their businesses successfully while watching those we have helped find employment and advance in their careers.
