Here you will find current information related to our team as well as the services we provide. We bring you the most recent news first.

Dietz serves on Board

David Dietz has accepted a three year term of service on the board of directors at Cultural Diversity Resources, a proactive diversity initiative to address the challenges and opportunities of increased cultural and ethnic diversity in the Fargo-Moorhead metropolitan area.

According to Census 2000, Fargo-Moorhead’s ethnic community doubles every ten years. New challenges and opportunities to bond as a strong community patterned in cultural and ethnic diversity abound. "My personal reason for accepting this invitation is to get involved in our community. I feel passionate for volunteering with this organization because globalization is rapidly creating opportunities for people of all backgrounds to work and live together," Dietz notes.

Cultural Diversity Resources is governed by nine board of directors, nominated from the community-at-large. CDR’s goals are to increase the understanding and value of diversity in our communities, as well as to create opportunities by eliminating barriers to community participation. For more information, please visit their Web site at culturaldiversityresources.org.

Preference Expands

Preference has added two newly created positions. Kendra Krogstad joined the manufacturing and labor staffing division last year.  "I enjoy coming to work because everyone is so cheerful and pleasant. I also love meeting all the new people every day. What's surprising to me is that I can be walking down the street and people will recognize and remember me. It's a wonderful feeling to know I'm making a difference in people's life," she says. Kendra specializes in various labor and manufacturing jobs.

Tania Cook was also recently added to our team. Needing something fresh and a chance to make a difference in people’s lives, Tania joined Preference with a primary focus in direct hire, though she will lend support to the industrial and clerical staffing divisions as well. “Because my previous work experiences have given me the opportunity to work with diverse groups of people, my listening skills and empathy will enable me to be an asset to the Preference team. Here I feel a sense of pride when I help someone pursue their dream,” she says.

Preference Reduces Employee Injuries

Vic Jones, Safety Manager for Preference Personnel, and Industrial Staffing Consultants Todd Obbink, Kendra Krogstad and Darlene Hanson work together to reduce employee injuries. “Their efforts in successfully implementing a multitude of actions in our safety program have reduced employee injuries as well as the severity of injuries,” asserts Larry Dietz, CEO. “These forward thinking efforts have created a positive outcome for Preference Personnel temporary and contract employees, as well as key values for our client-employers,” he adds. Vic Jones comments “ As a group we continually brainstorm to improve safety for the people that work in the field. Our goal is to always provide the best safety training possible prior to assigning people to a position.”

Record Numbers Of People Find Employment

2007 marked another successful year for both employers and job seekers at Preference Personnel. A record number of job seekers found employment of their choice at Preference last year. “The growth was in a variety of positions,” adds Candice Dietz, President. “It is rewarding to make a difference in people’s lives while simultaneously contributing to our client-company’s growth. We are lucky to work with employers who understand the importance of hiring the best talent and appreciate the value of matching the right person to their positions.”

This important record reflects on the quality, experience, and friendliness of our staff. To talk to one of our qualified consultants, please call us at 293-6905.
