David Dietz Joins Board of Directors for NISA
 

David Dietz of Preference Personnel has accepted an invitation to serve on the Board of Directors of the National Independent Staffing Association. Started in 1986, NISA is a nationally recognized non-competitive staffing network. NISA members are a highly respected group of staffing industry professionals that unite for peer-to-peer networking, information exchange and promotion of industry ethics. Dietz will serve a three year term. 
 

Candice Dietz serves on Workforce Council

Candice Dietz, president and staffing consultant of Preference Personnel, is serving her second term on the North Dakota Workforce Council.  The group discusses, plans, and develops goals and partnerships for training, education, and workforce development activities.  The considerations then go to the governor to get carried out.  With this she also became a part of the Steering Committee for the Governor’s Workforce Summit.   The duties include creating a theme, gathering sponsorships, and making arrangements for speakers. 

Outreach Training Program Completed and Now Available

We are pleased to announce that Darlene Hanson, Todd Obbink, Kendra Krogstad, and Tania Cook completed the OSHA General Industry Outreach Training Program.  The ten-hour course provides awareness for our staffing consultants on recognizing and preventing safety and health hazards employees may encounter at a general industry site.  Continuing education allows consultants to better understand the potential hazards associated with working in an industrial setting along with clearly communicating this message to employees during our safety orientation. 

You or your staff can also participate in the class! Come and learn more about preventing accidents and creating a safe work environment.  Plus, OSHA authorizes trainers who complete the class to conduct occupational safety and health classes for employees. Preference Reduces Injuries

Our safety consultant, along with our team of staffing consultants, work diligently to reduce injuries at client companies on a daily basis.  Since Vic Jones joined our team in 2005, our indice rates year-to-date have gone from 22.02 to 12.41.  With a company’s help, Vic organizes a safety orientation for each employee sent to the company.  Darlene Brandvold, Todd Obbink, and Kendra Goette assist Vic in assuring that employees are aware of the safety standards at every company.  If you are interested in how Vic can assist your company, please call 293-6905 to set up an appointment.
